Lake Life

Dan's house- and where Danielle grew up- is on one of the lakes.  So we spent a couple of evenings out there over the summer- Matt and Dan are in a men's group together one night a week which made this a perfect time for just us girls and the kids. 

I love to fish.... I have always thought it was fun.  However, I had NEVER caught a fish in my life until about 1996 with my great friend Scott.  His dad had taken us out on the Gulf in the pontoon boat and I caught a croaker!  And as you will see in these pictures- I caught my SECOND fish this past summer!  I was soooo excited- like a little kid!!  Literally jumping up and down!  In fact, I caught two fish!

Caelan would load that little dump truck with sand, drive it onto the dock to the edge, and tip the sand into the water.  Over and over.

We took the boat out on the water- Caelan was very timid about it so we just sat there for a while.

Another critter we watched for a while- he was pretty close to the boat
